What kind of paint works best on MDF board?

I apologize if this is in the wrong section of forums, I'm new and I couldn't figure out which area to put it in. However, I'm in the process of building my own speakers, (going the morel route, etc...) to save money and I want a high gloss black finish on the MDF? Anyone who has experience, your feed back would be deeply appreciated!!!!

Thanks a lot for the helpful advice guys I really appreciate it. I didn't realize how many layers of primer and paint you need to make it come out good, but now I do and it will!!! THanks again,

Makes me glad that I didn't build my own speakers if this is what's involved in just the paint job!
