How much “suspension of disbelief do you need?” I find if you have "It" you will likely have problems with the less than perfect and bad recordings. Realism or transparency (or whatever you call it) can be a double edge sword.
Honesty is the best policy...I think. If they don't have a fix I would include their number in the ad so people can call. It's as much their issue as it is yours. Seems suspect or "sus" as the kids say.
Anyone pairing Cornwall IVs with solid state amplification to good results? @jbhiller I don't know about ASR or the rest, you may have mixed me up with another poster. I owned the Coda while I was on a speaker binge last year. I wanted to try a few speakers _CW4, Spendor D7 and Gershman. I found the Coda to be neutral, ...

Why spend more than $25 per piece of equipment on vibration reduction? Where can I get the critical mass???
Audio Research I/50 I owned the VSI-55 years ago. This looks like a redesign of that or the newer VSI-60. Entry level, they say, so likely cheaper parts to keep the price down. Not an ARC basher, I love the products. I wish they would put their best technologies into...
Making speakers sound tonally similar with an equalizer Roon has an eq feature. I tried to remove a frequency in the 2-4k range that drove me crazy with a pair of speakers. Making speakers sound tonally similar with an equalizer I’ve owned many speakers and they all sound different. I would say very difficult or impossible. Maybe if the speakers are in the same line- cabinet materials, driver materials, crossover components, etc. otherwise too many variables. I suppose fr...

Speaker shootout question -- do you position the same or differently, depending? Just want to add that if people are overwhelmed with a large room, it's sometimes easier (and maybe even preferable in sound quality) to section the space and be closer to the speakers. I've heard many setups where I preferred my at home closer, m...
Speaker shootout question -- do you position the same or differently, depending? In my experience different speakers with behave quite differently depending on placement to boundaries and distance to listing position (reflection points, nodes, etc.) The position of the drivers in the cabinet will give a wildly different prese...
Seeking advice for speakers for my Family Room Great looking room. Budget a rug, fabrics, heavy blinds. Pull the speakers out a little if you can- get a sub. You are relatively nearfield so I wouldn't get too worried about reflection points. Do you have any slap echo in the room? That's a real...
