Do 1st Order XO's produce a smaller Go with a single driver Jordan JX-92s speaker from www.carolinaaudio.com. "First order" no crossover design and only driver so no driver blending or sweet spot problem.Gotta wonder what's going on with Phasecorrect's statements.
Floor Stander that can stand close to rear wall For the record, I had to enter the name Naim 3 times because of some glitch with this website. It would not let me post by just typing Naim once.

What other speakers would you consider for this .. I thought the older Matrix was supposed to be more laid back that the newer Nautilus line. Makes me wonder if you've got some kind of distortion problem that B&W corrected on their newer model. If you can spend $8,000, definitely try the Natilu...
best monitors above 300Hz ATC SCM 12's. ATC is well known for their accurate midrange and they are not harsh / bright like B&W can be or dark / cold like DynAudio.
Warmest solid-state integrated for under $2k I would suggest a "Class A" rated amp. Not merely warm, they run downright hot. You could probably burn yourself if you're not careful.
Changing to less expensive gear. I wish this was true. There is lots of expensive stuff I don't like the sound of but generally if you pay more you get more. One exception was the B&W dealer who had little 303's with an Arcam Delta 10 ( something like that) integrated. We lis...
If Thiel, Wilson, Sonus, made active speakers????? "Wilson and others could pull of similar feats with better results "Compared to ATC? Doubt it. Wilson is focused on marketing not design. That's why recording studios use ATC, not Wilson.
What High End Manufacturers Could Learn From Bose Bose has their name printed on a window of the new condo's at 59th and Broadway in NYC. This is right across from Trump tower and the entrance to Central park. Bruce Willis is said to have bought two units in this building.Of course it helps that ...
Got my very first system. What's my next move? I like Sound Organisation rack for $300-$350 sold by Audio Advisor. It is black and unlike many racks, the shelves do not extend beyond the legs. You may not like glass because it rings so you can either switch out shelves or used sorbothane feet ...
What 2 Channel Receiver would be a good choice? www.jandr.com is selling the older TEAC reference 500 receivers for $300. I like them better than Rotel because they are less bright IMHO. They are smaller than usual stereo stuff, rated for 4 ohm loads, and put out 50 watts. I also like TEAC bett...
Active speaker, the future? or another fad? NHT is giving it a shot. They have a $5,000 full active system includes speakers, amps, crossover, and some exotic software with like 1,000 bands of eq. Speakers are monitors with the SEAS magnesium drivers and a separate sub. There was a thread a...
Where does the designation of "Audiophile" fit... Audiophiledom picked me. I miss the simpler times, but as Don Henley said, "you can't put the genie back in the bottle".
TV's... what does the typical audiophile have? I've got a 20" Hitachi circa 1990. Had cable TV but that left along with the roomate. Boy, I never saw him do anything so fast before or after as getting the cable TV hookup.
Dust??? "Since prevention would be ahead of the game"I would recommend showering more since most dust comes from ..... us. =:-) |
