Need help picking budget Turntable
OK johannantais, my opinion on the 250 was researched right here on this site. TWL has supported the two bearing hypothesis. Hypothesis because it has not been proven empirically yet. My test on my P3 was with a modded 250 with 2extreme endstub fr...
New to Vinyl, TT suggestions please
The 250 tonearm is a better arm, because it has two bearings not just one as with the 300. This has been backed up in other posts on this site as well! The 250 is a great combination a used Sota Sapphire which I just upgraded to. A little more tha...

Hallhill4, Colitas here there's a Planar 2 on E-bay RIGHT NOW!#3071989793 The difference b/w the P2 and the P3 is the tonearm. The 250 arm on the Planar 2 is a better arm (with the available modifications) Replace the plastic endstub with the Expr...
Cartridge-- M/M or M/C
I can concur with Johnnantis about the Sota. I just recently purchased a Sota Sapphire series II used on the 'Gon. I am using it with a modded Rega 250 (w/2etreme endstub & F2 titamnium counterweight.) The Sota did bring my brightness down fro...

You can't go wrong with the P3, but I would recommend the RB250 instead of the RB300. The 250 has better stability because it has no VTF(vertical tracking force) dial and has two bearings, and no spring. The only thing is that you will need to upg...
Your Favorite, Most Outstanding Guitar Solo
OK finally SOMEBODY finally remembered Jimmy Page! Another one from Zeppelin that rocks is "In My Time of Dying" from Physical Graffiti. How about "Machine Gun" from the Band of Gypsys(Jimi Hendrix), live New Year's Eve at the Filmore East Phish (...

Denon DVD and Receiver
Just an idea, I have a 3600. Did you accidently turn down the souce input on the remote? My receiver has - & + gain for the input signal. You could increase this instead of volume too.
New Damper material
What about BUFFALO?! This meat is extremely dense with hardly any fat content.
Anyone try the new J A Michell Rega Counterweight/
Also a not so well known company makes a REGA counterweight. The company is VSE, there site is vsengr.com, I am thinking about ordering this counterweight for my arm, he claims the lowest center of gravity on the market. The "Wedge" goes for $89.
OK, I said it...
The only thing I have to add would be in the area of ticks and pops. I currently own a P3 from REGA. I know it's not in the same range as the P9, but thought my experience could help. I have since found that changing the platter mat has greatly re...
Strange Tonearm Tweak. Long
OK! I'm finnaly getting around to upgrading my REGA tonearm. In short I have a P3 with the RB300. I just purchased a new RB250 brand new from 2juki. I wanted to get rid of the spring and the tracking force dial. I do have an expressimo heavyweight...
Azimuth&Bias on HIFI test record
First off, thanks for all the response. Thanks to 4yanx for clearing up the question on dougdeacon's response. I always thought there must be something wrong with me cause I could never get all of the "esoteric" clues and directions on those test ...
Took the vinyl plunge - need advice
Hey T bone, Make my funk the P-Funk, I wants to get funked up! I will second the Grado recommendation! I just purchased a used Platinum here on Audiogon. I really love the bass that the Grado cartridges have. Great for when the Mothership comes do...
