Your choice for budget analog to digital converter Thanks Al. Will do.
Your choice for budget analog to digital converter Al - thanks, that all makes sense. I am aware of the high impedance of the main outputs, but it is not problem for my Levinson 432. Actually, I would probably want the mains on when recording if possible. That would depend on output levels.I reall...
Your choice for budget analog to digital converter Johnsonwu - that is a DAC, not an A to D converter.
Your choice for budget analog to digital converter Al - insightful, as always. I have a Cary SLP 05 with a headphone amp output. How do you think it would match with the Line Streamer? What characteristic are you looking at to match the Line Streamer? I think most headphone amps have pretty low im...
Your choice for budget analog to digital converter I have been intrigued with the HRT LineStreamer +, although I have not actually tried it. It is $350. You can get it with a 30 day trial for Music Direct and Amazon. One drawback people have mentioned is that it does not have any volume capability...
5.1 to 7.1 Think of the same triangle rule you use for your fronts. I would suggest 5 feet back, which is hard for most people. You can also consider 6.1 which takes the stereo issue out of the picture. You can also use 6.1 with 2 speakers in parallel.
5.1 to 7.1 If you have some extra speakers of any kind, just run some wire across the floor and give them a try. It will at least give you an idea of the look and the sound.
5.1 to 7.1 Actually, I think room size is an issue. If you are going to put the 7.1 speakers within a foot or two of your listening space then they can actually detract from the sound. If you have multiple feet behind the listening area, they can add. But to...
SF fans, old Concerto or new Luito bookshelf ? Agree with Johnnyb53 on the Concerto, either original or Home. I like the original a little better, but both are old school SF. If you like the Concerto and want to upgrade, I would consider the Cremona Auditor over the M Auditors. The M's are a l...
Totem Dreamcatchers integrated amp, under $1000. Naim goes very with with Totem. I have heard the Naim Nait 5i-2 with Arro and Sffaf and really liked it. Should go with the DC also. Just checked, one on sale for just over $1K.NAD could also be good. No experience with the Rega. IHMO, the Rotel c...
salesperson recomends what do you think These are some very good choices - nice range of different styles. Here are some obvious suggestions, which you probably already know. But here goes anyway.Make sure you listen to all through the same electronics, hopefully something close to what...
Computer audio, I am not convinced yet ...... I am no expert on the DAC2, butit looks like the USB on the DAC only does 44.1KB and 48KB and I am not sure it has a separate driver. That makes me wonder about the async USB implementation. It came out just as true async USB was being implemented...
Computer audio, I am not convinced yet ...... Just like with CD players, you have to be sure the components work together and give you the sound you like. Some things to try.Have you tried the Digital input from the Sony to the EMM? That would tell you how you like the EMM DAC. Try J River Mu...
Purchasing and setting up a home music system Since you have 5.1, try EARS on your stereo signals. It is much better than PLII at doing 5.1, in my opinion. Good luck!
Purchasing and setting up a home music system So you are buying a separate 2 channel system? Is it suppose to integrate with the NAD 757? I am a little confused. |
