Audio Grade Ethernet Cable
+1 @cleeds   There’s no case to be made for a router being co-located next to your audio gear as having any benefit compared to say 30’ away if we are talking about a wired connection.   On the other hand, picking up noise from the internal CPU...
Focals latest - Cat Houses?
OK, now to be less catty about the subject I was really curious how much Focal had taken advantage of the DSP capabilities to alter how the active Focals differ from their similar sized passive models.  In particular the midrange to tweeter crosso...
Do some DACs "handle" sibilance better than others?
Personal opinion is I can only "hear" this happening in systems which have been uber designed for "detail."  Usually these systems are either bright or have a very uneven response which accentuates certain frequencies and nulls others.

Those aren't worth $70,000.   Now this, this is worth $70,000:
Audio Grade Ethernet Cable
Keep your wifi router and  network related wall warts away from your stereo!  Cheap-o Ethernet 6 will be just fine.  The most realistic concerns are over radiated RFI from inside the Wifi router.  It's job is literally to radiate radio frequency...

$70,000 for a plastic cabinet wrapped in carpet and it isnt even shag.
Duroch Capacitors
If you are interesting in modding or switching caps a good trial to do is to get low uF Audyn TrueCopper (0.1 or so) and bypass the output caps.  Make sure to get the right V rating equal to or exceeding the existing (especially important in tubes...
Long(too) captive A/C cords
Hey OP, I agree that if they really are too long and you are sure you’ll never need the length cutting them yourself is a good idea.  Depending on the angle you need I use Leviton hospital grade plugs when connecting to a wall socket.  The extra ...
Luxman C900u owners
I honestly don't even know if this post has a question.  Assuming it does, what are you trying to do and what speakers are you trying to do it with?
Has anyone here set up a system with tiered subwoofers handling different bass spectrums?
Lower your crossover point, look at AM Acoustics room mode simulator for guidance on placement and refer to the miniDSP application notes on using multiple subs.
Integration of Two Subs with miniDSP Flex
One of the things I really like about the LS7’s that use the Illuminator mid/woofer is how fast and detailed instruments like acoustic bass get rendered. It's true and in the right rooms you almost don't need a sub at all, but if you are going ...
Integration of Two Subs with miniDSP Flex
You should take your REW questions to that forum, but generally speaking, sub integration is not that complicated.  miniDSP has a really good document on how to do so here. Fritz is an excellent choice of main speaker.  Before integration though ...
lightning storm
I have never had a Wi-Fi outage or any issue related to Wi-Fi playing movies or music even with Wi-Fi 5 technology, which is up to 7 now. I live in a large apartment building in a signal dense neighborhood, there are over 30 networks to choose fr...
Focals latest - Cat Houses?
I think I read that the exterior of the speakers is a plastic type material and that is why they covered it in felt. @ozzy  Well that totally justifies the $70,000 asking price.

@kennyc Paul Bunyan may have had French roots, so yes!
