There is just some insane pedal steel going on by the great Buddy Cage on the New Riders of the Purple Sage song 'Death and Destruction'... .
Tinnitus
Dunno about tinnitus - I've had it for decades; it went along with my loss of high frequencies and I've worn hearing aids for over 20 years, and sleep has not been an issue for most of that time, but good sleep can help with many an ailment.

@musikcrayz - Interesting how pedal steel also worked their way into progressive rock. I've taken photos of both Steve Howe from Yes and David Gilmour from Pink Floyd playing pedal steel on stage; you can get a lot of interesting sounds out of it.
Tweak for BTE hearing aids
Thanks for a tip; I don't have any straws around at present but I do have BTE hearing aids; I'll give it a crack!
Are using hearing aids for stereo listening like trying to push a river through a straw?
I've worn hearing aids for over 20 years; they will probably not sound right immediately; it's a matter of going back to your audiologist and telling them what you don't like, and they can make adjustments. You might have to do this several times....

Having a Flashback Friday - Airplane Induced
@jsalerno277 - very well said! I don't have any use for GD studio albums; to me, that has always been besides the point; they were always all about live performances. But I do have every one of the big annual box sets they've released, and I've go...

@jsalerno277 - I'm a Deadhead! But I don't need to 'flash back' as I listen to them just as much now; that's timeless music.  @jtcf - yes, I enjoyed looking through the windowpane on several occasions, too!  @thecarpathian - went from being a hi...

@arcam88 - that sounds a lot like my old buddy at college, Purple Microdot! Yes, most any music did different things under that influence. A big fave was Country Joe and the Fish's 'Electric Music for the Mind and Body'....
Why does USB feature so much in discussions about DACs when the newer HDMI seems better?
@richardbrand - can't say for sure, but I'd guess that most people who stream do it from their phones....
HiFi legends ageing and going deaf
I would guess that most of these companies have younger people working for them too who could 'extra pairs of ears', even if there is just one designer, who is older.
Audio Desk cleaner.....still available?
I've had a Mk 1 DeGritter for several years now and have cleaned many hundreds of records in it and it works perfectly today, just like it did when I first bought it. These are built VERY well. Mk II DeGritters seem to be available at many retaile...
DAC shopping - Trying to sift through the Hype. Can I trust the reviews these days ??
I trust written and video reviews at least as much as I do anonymous postings on message boards and forums. I do research using a number of different sources, including written and video reviewers, and forums, to reach a conclusion. That said, I'v...

@tkrtrb125 - 1st World Problem? What does that have to do with anything? This is an audiophile website with audiophile forums. Which world do you think would be more appropriate for discussion purposes?
