Best speakers for a Leak Stereo 20 tube amp I used a Sonus Faber Electa (old Model) with a Leak Stereo 20 and it sounded great. Any of the higher efficiency Sonus Fabers should work very well.Rooze
Best Genesis Album - your opinions please. Wow, just played Seconds Out for the first time in ages...I'd forgotten just how good that is, although I got a little fidgety half way though Suppers Ready!Brings back some memories for sure!Rooze
SAS Audio Labs 10A / 11A Preamps. Ehoehn, we used Purist Museaus and Colossus cables..I think the IC's were Colossus and the SC's were Museaus. The differences were really outstanding, lifted a veil on the mids and snapped everything into focus. It wasn't my system so I'll need to d...
Where do I go from here ? Spectron Musician II SimAudio W10's work great with Magnepan 3.6's.Gutsy, good bass, dynamic, transparent...
CJ LS17 vs ARC LS15 Ackman00...I've just replaced the stock sovteks with electro-harmonix. These are the series 2 tubes sold at Upscale Audio and are supposedly more warm in the midrange than the series 1. They did little to change the sound over the sovteks, if anyt...
CJ LS17 vs ARC LS15 Thanks for the comments so far. I'm happy with the W10 monoblocks, so I don't think I'll change them any time soon. I've had Krell MD300's and a Krell FPB200, along with various other amps and the W10's were a significant step forward. I found the...
For Magnepans try the "Rooze" comfiguration Folks,Below is a link to a sketch of the arrangement. Again, looking at the sketch one would expect the sound to emerge from the rear of the speaker. If you position yourself carefully in both a lateral and longitudinal direction, the sound vanish...
For Magnepans try the "Rooze" comfiguration Eldartford,This isn't the case, and I see the confusion. The room is a few inches short of 28' wide. The speakers are 9' from the wall behind them, so they're firing across 19' onto the wall opposite. I'm sitting behind the speaker, looking through...
For Magnepans try the "Rooze" comfiguration El,I'm not sure that the 9' is key. Remember that I'm not listening to the rear wave, I'm looking between the speakers and listening to a soundstage that is formed against the wall that the front of the speakers are firing into. The 9' dimension i...
For Magnepans try the "Rooze" comfiguration Well I'm both pleased and relieved that it's working so well for others.Rooze rhymes with ruse and also my last name, so just a little play on words to keep people guessing. But this is not a joke, it's a very serious re-alignment of listening prio...
Which Used CD Player for Under $1,500? I've only experienced the MF A-3.2 from the ones you list, and found it rather analytical and lean sounding. Plenty of detail but a little lacking in musicality in my system.
Maggie 3.6 owners -- please help Slipknot,I had my 3.6's at 68" for a while then was able to bring them out to around 90". It's a great improvement in stage depth and the bass has cleaned up a little too. If you can get away with it try it.Also, if you have some foam around or so...
Maggie 3.6 owners -- please help At 3 feet from the front wall you're not going to be hearing their full potential, but that doesn't mean they're not going to sound great. You'll need to do some basic treatment to the wall behind the speakers, perhaps some diffuser panels to help ...
ebay vs audiogon People are people, it's naive to think that good guy's are on Audiogon and all the crooks migrate to eBay. If you exercise some diligence you can trade on eBay without significant risk. The feedback system works just as well on eBay as it does on ...
