how were copies of vinyl made in "third-party" countries
@russ69 I used the smiley, I was joking.  Me too!
Starting from scratch in a large room
A pair of Paradigm PW600 active speakers have everything you need to get started. A small bookshelf speaker is not going to fill your room, it's too big. I recommended large arrays that push a lot of air. Perhaps a Dali Phantom S280 or a Focal ...

my 90s Hungarian LPs are absolute crap while 70s and 80s are delightful. So much for capitalism :) I wouldn't condemn an entire economic system based on a few bad LPs.  :)
How much is about the recording
i.e. WHICH, Diana Krall version of "Garden in the Rain" Love Scenes Impulse CD IMPD-233 What does the noise suppression in garden in the rain sound like? The tape hiss like noise is fully suppressed, then as she takes her breath, you hear t...
What cables to use.
I’d go HDMI but with the TV as the source, it isn't going to matter that much.

...and the entire mastering to lacquer might take place at each pressing plant, or just some pressing plants. Again, depends. A lot depended on how many units they thought would sell. If caught short they may run the stampers longer or make new...

Also, could they have also sent the mothers, stampers? I could be wrong, but the master tapes are not going anywhere. The master disc is made from a lathe cut lacquer and they can make a few masters if needed. I think I said it wrong earlier. T...

I would buy your list. But I would add a class A+ for my audiophile favorites like: The Holly Cole Trio, Mapleshade Art of the Ballad, Mindy Smith, and Famous Blue Raincoat.
Starting from scratch in a large room
I’m more than happy to save the money if that’s the case. I don't shop in that area so I can't help with the details, but your budget will buy some really nice multi driver arrays that will push enough air to fill the room. You should have no b...
Dust Settled Consensus- is the Benchmark AHB2 an Audiophile Amplifier?
It is a very capable amplifier and I have had the pleasure to audition. Dead silent just a bit to sterile for me. The guys at ASR love it.  From what I read, I think this is accurate.
Starting from scratch in a large room
The challenge is that I have a very large room, but I can’t use floor speakers or standmounts--the speakers will likely have to be on the built-in bookshelves I’m sorry but I won’t sugar coat it. You’ll have a $15,000 dollar system that will so...

I've posted this before, but I asked the question: Can you hear the noise suppression pump in and out on Diana Krall's "Garden in the Rain"? I got few responses, which meant most people don't hear that. It's easily heard on my reference systems bu...

Are these systems super bright? Or what does resolving mean here? Yes, they tend to be towards the brighter side, but you can have full high frequency extension without being too bright. Resolving is detail retrieval, that happens across the wh...
How much is about the recording
@russ69  What was tuned up? How was that done? Are these systems super bright? Or what does resolving mean here? Well, it would take a book to tell the whole story but there are many ways to get where you want to go. The way I do it is find the...

...if it's not that tricky why are there so many versions rated so differently? If you run the Stampers or Mothers too long, don't watch your vinyl temps carefully, or run substandard vinyl, quality can suffer. Cutting the Masters is done early...
