Cable burn in Only mechanical things need a bit of run-in - speakers and phono cartridges. Electronic gear also needs to burn in before it stabilizes. Amps, Preamps, tubes, CD players, anything that builds heat.
Phone preamp question The Bellari might have enough voltage to drive an amp, try it and see. Turn the gain DOWN at first. A passive preamp will not help as it attenuates the gain and has no gain of its own. Not sure if the Bellari will be a good match to your amp but i...
Active Speakers Better? No, per Michael Borresen So a Klispch Hersey lV speaker isn’t a full range speaker because it only goes down to 48hz? Well, I have Heresy IIIs and they are much better with a sub...so yes. My personal minimum is 36 Hz but don't ask how I came up with that.
