@noske My opinion - this is not a site where anyone would wish to spend much time constructing thoughtful and educational posts given that thread was deleted without explanation or consultation. I believe the thread was shut down due to your sn...
Cable burn in
Only mechanical things need a bit of run-in - speakers and phono cartridges. Electronic gear also needs to burn in before it stabilizes. Amps, Preamps, tubes, CD players, anything that builds heat.
Phone preamp question
The Bellari might have enough voltage to drive an amp, try it and see. Turn the gain DOWN at first. A passive preamp will not help as it attenuates the gain and has no gain of its own. Not sure if the Bellari will be a good match to your amp but i...

So a Klispch Hersey lV speaker isn’t a full range speaker because it only goes down to 48hz? Well, I have Heresy IIIs and they are much better with a sub...so yes. My personal minimum is 36 Hz but don't ask how I came up with that.

You want to make sure all the drivers are working perfectly, and you might have to rebuild the crossovers. I love Infinity loudspeakers but I would pass and buy something new like a Wharfedale Linton.

There are very limited choices of full range active loudspeakers. Lots of choices for bookshelf and monitors.
Everything matter in the audio chain. Tests prove it!
Very interesting. I would have liked to see a tube amp in the test.
