Boxes Flatten them and stack the foam innards to save space, and yes having original boxes is a selling point and gives the shippers another chance to smash the crap out of them.
Made in USA My amps are USA as well as my preamp, speakers, a DAC, and cables. My computer, phone, and all of my clothing are from elsewhere, as are yours.
Previous Ownership...does it matter to you? If the previous owner was a saltine aficionado there could be a crumb issue.
Is R.E.M. underrated by new music nerds? They got lucky it seems, and although they produced a few decent songs they are utterly overrated. Some friends opened for them years ago and said they were absolute jerks to them...bad bad bad. Otherwise, meh...I've known too many great bands tha...
It was 61 years ago today... The Beatles were simply more sophisticated than most pop bands, had better singing generally, and pointier boots. Also, they could deliver live to a degree that only comes from hard club and touring work. Without monitors! (amazing they could sing...
Solving the "complex music problem"? 6 feet from the front wall? Ridiculous...just put the speakers outside in a field away from trees, or put bass traps on the trees. Or...don't fear the "room sound" as most (all?) music is played in rooms...it makes things sound...dare I say...REAL...
2 subs connected to a 2 channel amp? Yes...joining the positive REL wires and plugging 'em in the back of my amp. RELs use a 100,000 ohm signal each so the amp has no idea they're connected, and the damping factor of the Pass XA-25 is 500 so that is still in play...more bass control ...
Hello Guys, Get the AQ Niagra 1200.
2 subs connected to a 2 channel amp? I use 2 RELs with the cables joined in banana plugs (the positive joined, and the 2 leftover negative leads into left and right negative terminals) with the main speakers using spades. Subs of course are mono which does not matter...Works great fo...
Sound quality of new vinyl recordings. I have new vinyl that sounds as good or better than any older recording and it seems that digital recordings moved to vinyl can also sound better than a CD. There was an article in a Brit magazine regarding that a few years ago and I forget why th...
Why didn't I sell my vinyl rig? Vinyl playback is an anachronistic luddite technology that never fails to surprise me. My digital streaming rig sounds amazingly good and clearly keeps me in many loops I'd otherwise not be exposed to (Trio X of Sweden...who knew?), but stick a li...
Show off! Generally, people who aren't already into great sounding audio just don't care about your carefully assembled gear heap unless feigning interest to be nice. So since pretty much anything sounds great on a great system it sort of doesn't matter...I...
Tube or solid state My Pass XA-25 has a "tube-like" sound in that it's capable of making me like listening to it. Even when it's off it puts out a vibe, as does the tube Had amp as that thing is beautiful to look at. The Pass amp looks like an industrial slab, but it...
What is the current retail cost of your reference system? I did buy a solid silver AQ digital cable...used...for something like 60 bucks. I know that's extreme but hey...I can afford it.
NEW MASTERSOUND 845 COMPACT TUBE INTEGRATED AMP : REVIEW.. PERFECTION Well, if a review says it's perfection, it must be. |
