I was a concert photographer during the 70's, so I just put up a bunch of my pictures!
Art for your music room
Being an artist myself I find that appropriate images on my walls adds to the overall ’vibe’ I wish to feel when entering the listening room.
My favorite pieces are by Nils Dougan (laser cut wood), and Eric Bowman (my good buddy).
A comment on the ’distorted’ looking wood cut. It is indeed flat, and an optical illusion.
Eric did a series of jazz singer paintings a few years back. It’s quite large and one of my favorite pieces. Oil on canvas.
Show us what you all have. Just upload your jpgs to https://imgbox.com/
Once they’re uploaded copy/paste the Links Only address. Do them one at a time or it doesn't work well
@larsman would love to see your work. Any of it on the www? |
Hi @jerryg123 ! Thanks for asking! I actually have a website of my stuff called www.mypixrock.com - I took these in the San Francisco Bay Area, where I live, and I've got photos 'from Jerry to Jello!'. The website needs a little work so it can sometimes take a little while after clicking on a thumbnail for the larger image to come up, but it will! I hope you enjoy them and Happy Holidays!! |
Nice larsman -- funny to see the skinny Jerry! :) I like nice tings to look at when I listen. My listening room is my living room, which is dominated by Innuit prints like Mighty Bear, all from the excellent Innuit Gallery of Vancouver.

@larsman Love your pics nice Dead shots especially! |
Thanks, folks!! I gotta say that I’m disappointed in what I have for JG and the GD on the basis of how many shows I went to, and the fact that they didn’t care if you brought cameras into shows. I got some gooders, glad you like ’em. The one with the beardless Jerry - 1973 and I’d just moved to San Francisco and I did acid and went to Winterland to see the boys, and I thought I was hallucinating or something, ’cause I couldn’t see Jerry’s beard! Really bummed me out that he didn’t have a beard - I was glad when he grew it back right away and left it alone! @jerryg123 - the Clash poster was on the wall where I worked at a record wholesaler in Oakland. |
You've got some great shots Larsman. To see what you've seen and to have captured the moments must have been a wonderful experience. By the way, I love your take on "God's frozen people". Is that a reference to capturing or "freezing" that moment in time or did you freeze your nuts off one two many times traveling around? 😀 All the best, |

@1111art Guess you missed this thread I started just after they added the image upload feature Show Us Your Listening Room Art I just added this one this week. Wilco has a local artist do a unique poster for every one of their concerts. This one is special to me, as it was from my first concert at Austin City Limits' Moody Theater. Cheers, Spencer |
Love this and @sbank thread, wishing Agon had a merge thread feature….. I am a Robot bent on exposing my core processor to ART ! |
@1111art Wow, that's incredible |
