Innuous Zenith MK3

I’m shopping around for a server/streamer and became interested in the innuous MK3.

I noticed that the price of this was about $1600 less three years ago than it is today. Is it the exact same product that it was three years ago and has just gone up in price?  Is that in line with the price increases that other hi-fi equipment has seen?

It seems that the majority of owners love this device, but it seems pretty outdated with its pentium processor and inflated price. I like the idea of using Sense software and playing local files (DSD) without streaming.

I had one and liked it.  I use Roon and it wasn't as good with roon as it was with Sense.  I upgraded to a Grimm but nothing bad to say about the Innuos.  the zenith MK3 is a very handy disk ripper and thus you don't need a CD transport.  That was nice.

I currently have and love my Zenith MKIII.  I've upgraded many components around it but do not feel the need/desire to upgrade the Zenith.  That may be because I recently upgraded to a Meitner MA3 streamer DAC.

i mostly stream Qobuz through Roon and the CD's I ripped on the Zenith.  I am using the Zenith as a Roon core.  Very smooth, detailed and musical.  At this point I am finished but for the pending factory upgrade to the MA3 and my Audeze Crbn HdPhns, until the upgradeitis 'bug' hits me again.

When I was shopping for a new playback device recently, I strongly considered the Zenith mk3. It's a great sounding device. As someone said above, it is getting a bit old as far as the CPU platform, which was one of the main reasons I didn't choose it. I think that would impact you more if you used it more like a server to rip and store your entire library. If you are mainly streaming from Tidal/Qobuz/etc it shouldn't matter as much.

Innuos also has their Pulse line that is more focused on streaming, doesn't have optical drive or library storage. So that might be worth looking at if you don't need those options.

I do think almost everything has increased in price pretty significantly from a few years back. Not sure if Innuos is in line with the industry standard or a bit higher though.

I own the Innuos Mini and MK3 and  have no complaints. It works flawlessly with Roon.

I've had the Zenith 3 for several years and love it.  Innuous customer service is also excellent.0

I have a Zenith Mk3.  Sense is a great native app that manages my ripped cds, Qobuz library, and NAS files seamlessly.  I highly recommend the Zenith as an exceptional audiophile component, and innuos as a company with great customer service.

I have had a MK III for 5 years. I stream Qobuz and ripped CD’s to the 4 terra byte

hard drive. I can’t recommend the MKIII or Innuos enough! Great product and great company.

There has been several internal upgrades  since then , I like the fact they vibration  control everywhere , even on the SS HD and Teac ripper drive  ,3 separate linear power supplies and  have done many improvement on the sense app

and ripped my whole Terabyte Flac files very well and checks each file you can change album art as you see fit and the excellent Mundorf MLytic capacitors  with. The Nichicon capacitors , gives this unit a bit warmer sound ,with many digital recordings it is a plus , the Audience front row usb cable is really good

their newer reference if you have a warmer system has a bit more  detail  but a bit cooler balance withthe silver .  Ethernet ,and usb cables do count.
