New Synergistic Product: Tuning Discs

I was lucky enough to be asked to try out a prototype of a new Synergistic Research product. For now, I think they are calling it a Tuning disc.

What it looks like is a small wafer (smaller than a dime and is very thin). They are either in gold or purple tops and are attached using some tacking substance. I placed 2 on top of my Shunyata Sigma V2 interconnects.

I wasn’t expecting much but whoa, did these things work! First, I tried the purple on my interconnects and boy did the soundstage widen with lots of air.

Then I tried the gold discs and though the sound stage shrunk perhaps a little but the naturalness of the music was fantastic!

Hard to believe that these things work so well, I am really impressed.

I put you right in there with Scarface.

<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<<>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Scarface did not offer a money back guarantee.

I haven't seen any video of him sneaking in the bathroom doing the Misses either.

I really want to see the video of him saying "Say hello to my little friend" but NEVER get killed. Just dispense of the peanut gallery, puke buckets.

I don’t even buy his stuff but the clown brigade has to go. Anarchist GO!!!!

No contribution, no need to be here..

No regards

tony1954,

Very disappointed in your comment. No one asked me to write a review. I am only sharing my experience. Buy them or not. I don't care.

Thanks Ozzy! As usual ignore the Trolls.

I now have about 20 various Synergistic Research resonators. In my room they make a significant improvement and are a good value. A friend told me about them. I thought it was ridiculous until I heard his room with and without them.

I’m assuming this new product will come with a 30 day return policy as do all the other SR resonators. I’ve never returned an SR fuse or resonator but have found some have more impact than others.

Thank you coralkong,

thyname, Already a picture of them in a box?

Heck mine came in a SR fuse box. I am told they will be available at the Florida Audio show.

Thanks for the review, @Ozzy.

Sounds like I might need to give these a try when they come out.

If anyone can hear it, Jr can. I'll ask him if he want's to give it a shot. He's pretty picky. It's either two ears up or both down. Sometimes though you get one up and one down.. We'll see.

Junior is on the fence, he needs a little more listening time.. :-)

Regards

Correct Mad Scientist has similar products. I have had them for over a year now. Place them on cables using blue tak, tape or zip ties…etc…..

The MS paste was not effective but his donuts, bars and discs are somewhat effective in my particular system. Very slight.  Only the most resolving system and ears that care would notice it.

These sound interesting.

Thank you marqmike,

I wanted to share something that amazed me and should be reasonably priced when it comes out officially.

And, I have had the Mad Scientist stuff, it is no way as good as this is.

Mad Scientist (down in Australia) had something similar and gave some out for free to get some feedback. I got some of their discs and they were about the size of a nickel and a bit thicker and needed something tacky to keep them on the connectors of the ICs.

I thought I heard a difference but that was with a less revealing system and don't know if I have them anymore to try out.

All the best,
Nonoise

Ozzy seems to have always been a straight shooter.  So I appreciate when he lets us know of something that works well for him. Thank Ozzy for the heads up.

I’m in a generous mood today so I’ll give you this hint as to how they work.

Yours in music,

I would ask Ted how do they work (other than cash cow) since he likes to hang out here these days but would probably regret it.  So I won't.

OK, let’s pick three regular credible

contributors on this forum for review.

Prentice, Squires, Lewm etc.

I know, I know, I was skeptical too. But these little buggers are impressive. So much so that they may transform the high-end cable business, they're that good.

@ericsch yes really 😊 they are the Carbon Fibre UEF Tuning Discs I developed to elevate our new Atmosphere SX cable loom, among other improvements.
