Phono cable for SL-1200G

Have been considering options for phono cable for the Technics and should know better than to ask this question, but confusion is simple in this area. Cable leads into inputs on PSAudio NPC phono converter from, most likely, a Hana Umami Blue.  Started thinking about DH Labs Dimension (haven't found any comments on it), WireWorld Micro-Silver Eclipse 8, Zafino Highlands MKII, Morrow PH6 (or 7 if a deal), or maybe higher level AntiCables (although not strictly phono there).  Transparency is the name of the game here, not coloration.  I'd be interested to hear what others think about interference and how to avoid it.  I'm open to any other revelations. I know cables have always been a bugaboo. If you don't believe in them, please stay away.

I use a VPI phono  cable for my SL1200G.  It was left over from my previously owned Prime.  I spoke with Chris Van Haus at VH Audio about getting a new cable for the Technics and he told me the cable I am using is excellent.  So, I’m still using it. A used pair is under $200.

I've been using Silnote Orpheus Reference with my 1200G and Clearaudio Charisma II MM cart for years; sounds great to me....

@newfzx7 is correct in his statement

Generally you want a low capacitance cable between the turntable and phono stage. Look to see what manufacturers give measurements for this.

This is most critical when using MM cartridges, but search for the discussions about MC loading where J Carr (designer of Lyra cartridges) provides insight that a lower capacitance cable between the turntable and the phono stage when using a MC cartridge can allow the loading to be lighter (a higher number) possibly allowing better response of MC cartridge. I would recommend your ultimate acquisition allow the best performance of either type of cartridge by being low capacitance.   My phono cable and tonearm wire capacitance is 65pf total and Hana and Lyra cartridges have performed with great transparency.

@howardlee what is your cartridge on SL1200G?

MCs are sounding good with use of lower resistance / inductance cables, while MMs prefer lower capacitance cables, flatter low/mid freq. better.

I'm using a lowly Blue Jeans Cable LC-1 which is 12.2 pF/ft (36.6 pF/ft over 3 feet) it was a noticeable improvement in clarity over the stock cable on my SL-1200GR. They now make an LC-2 which has an even lower figure at 11pF/ft.
