system upgrade

In my smaller (secondary system) I have a a pair of Fritz Carbon 7SE , strictly rock and Roll,  loudly with SUB and would never sell them, they are that good! Robert TN

I'm a huge fan of of Fritz's Carbon speakers (as I say everywhere because I've compared them extensively and they win every time) and also Ascend Acoustics ELX Towers.

Bi-amping is good. Bi-wiring does nothing IMHO. 

I wound up buying a new pair of Revel F228Be's. I paid 6k. Does anyone have experience with these ? If so,are they better when biwired?

Those Qualios would be an awesome buy at 5k.

Normally, an easy upgrade path might be sticking with same brand and moving up their models as brand Sonics (house sound) are often consistent. But changing brands the Sonics character will change.  

Generally speaking, because speakers sound different it best to demo yourself to find Sonics that subjectively resonants with you.  Usually high-end audio stores and audio shows.

The LSA Statement is a woefully underrated integrated. It can drive just about anything with power and finesse. That being said, try to find speakers with +88db or higher. Acoustic Zen Adagio? Maybe Spatial Audio M3s if you can find them. 

Yeah I pretty much knew he was pushing his products all this time. But he never cares to disclose that information for new members.

@ozzy62 yes he is the proprietor. @mihorn is constantly bombing threads when any question is posed where he will make wild claims of best sound ever. I feel bad for him because I really do believe he believes his speakers (and modified OPPO players) are amazing. I’ve heard his speakers at the SoCal show perhaps 10 years ago. Unless he has discovered something truly special between then and now, I feel bad for him.

Okay, I’ll set myself on fire.  Wavetech $9,500.  Small wooden box, 5” mid/woof + tweet.  That’s it.  I would really need hear that.  Think I’m out.

Again, would give ATC, PMC or Revival a shot.  Good luck hunting, you’ll need it.
