Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

We caught Sue Foley last year at Antone's in Austin, playing with Billy Gibbons, Charlie Sexton, Mike Flanigin and Jimmie Vaughan- she can kick ass. Had a '60s look going with a 'hair-do'- good entertainer.
The Nines - self-titled

Heard it courtesy of Spotify. VERY difficult to find a copy for purchase, but finally did (CD Baby? Digital download but only MP3 if I recall). Track 1 is "Sun Don’t Shine". Accept no substitutes. This is a Steve Eggers album.

Wish the drummer were a little more on top of the beat (or even a little ahead) and sound quality ain’t exactly odd-ee-o-file BUT great garage rock...good vocals, strong songs, great guitar riffs and excellent screaming. It’s been that kind of a month.

Loved the groove on Space Junk.  It also reminded me of something...

Strange Groove from World Party's (Karl Wallinger's) Egyptology.

"Just a piece of rock in heaven
Moving 'round the sky
To a strange groove...."

I'm thinking Karl was channeling a little Wang Chung for this track.
Antartica by Vangelus........truly one of the best sound experiences there is.   If you can find a copy get it.
