Zu Soul Superfly

I hope the gear swapping helps you lock things in, but the problems I'm referring to are more of the room interaction variety. When properly set up it is difficult to make the Zus sound bad via associated equipment, IMO.

I'm thinking of trying some of those herbies decouplers or threaded gliders for my Souls (on carpet). Supposedly a sonic up tick and if nothing else it may make it easier to experiment with placement to lock my sound.

I 100% agree. Before I made the last change, my system was sounding spectacular. However, as I know you know, I would disagree with anyone who says that speaker placement is easy with these Zu's!

I agree with both Gopher & Morganc, placement can be tough. I moved my furniture around a bit for a different look for the Christmas tree and all and things sounded better! Nice surprise. Gopher,I read about u using some Wywire cables in place of Zu mission cables that I use too. Is there a big diff in the sound? I'm just reading up on the Wywires, there not cheap. Also interested in the Eastern Electric minimax dac to maybe replace my idecco. Although I use the idecco in the summertime so I don't have to run the Cayin tube amp. Any thoughts on that swap? The wywire cables are sensational. Their interconnects, speaker cables and.digital cables are really outstanding and played a huge role in bringing out thepotential of my rig which I recently messed up a bit.

Seriously, they arent cheap but they're excellent. Buy em and try them... with the trial periods.you cannot go wrong.

Zu mission ics weren't bad at all, but I really didnt like there speaker cables... I rather disliked them which was a surprise after reading how the druids couldn't be appreciated without there cabling, but the ears don't lie.

The eastern electric dac is pretty nice in stock form, though mine is upgraded by the Bolder Cable Co. Definitely a good snag on the used market!
