Margot: Prompted in part by this thread, i did a quick 'photo essay' of a basic record cleaning process that you may find helpful. You really don't need a record cleaning machine unless you rub your peanut buttered hands all over the discs. Your Audioquest brush takes off the dust...that's all I do. My records are quiet (CD like). If you do get peanut butter on the records, get a steamer (about 20 dollars or so) which will take off anything serious. |
