For all you Clapton fans....

I am a huge Eric Clapton fan and have followed everything he has done. I have seen him on three occasions, one of them when he was not at his best. How many of you know about his "blues" virtuosity. A recording called Eric Clapton Blues Polydor 314 547 178-2 I have it on a 2 disc cd set, and it showcases some of his greatest performances, both studio and live. There are also some tracks, such as Ain't That Loving You, a studio track, which can easily show you what your system is really made of. I guarantee a must have for all !

"do not consider him difficult to repeat if you're good hard-working student"

That's funny.
Marakanetz, I understand what you are saying and agree with you. Much of my blues listening does not contain super technical playing for me to enjoy it. I started the thread because I have met so many people who do not know this side of Clapton. For the super technical players, this would be another thread altogether(maybe there is one already). Thanks for the response guys.
Seems to me that Blues is now what Clapton is all about and I think most people know it. All of the criticisms regarding Clapton's technique are rather funny, maybe even absurd. Does anyone think that Robert Johnson was a virtuoso on guitar?
Yeah, when I think of great Blues Artist, I always think of the great "super technical playing" guys....It's always stopped me from enjoying that amateur slacker Eric Clapton. Maybe one of these days he'll take a lesson or two and get good at what he does.
