Krell support can be very busy at times.  It will probably be best for you to request a service RMA so that you can ship the unit to Krell and have them fix it:http://www.krellonline.com/service-request-form.html In my experience, this is the best...
Pass X150 vs Krell FPB 200
All the Krell FPB (Full Power Balanced) amps are fully Class A to their rated power (which is 200 watts per channel on the FPB200).  I'm not sure if there will be a big difference in slam/speed between these two amps as both are powerful and fast....
Looking for ideas - new mono blocks for stereo music
@eohtar - sounds like you have a good set of cables overall, and you know where you're weak links are.  Yeah, I would look at upgrading the Blue Heaven interconnects.  And maybe upgrade the amp power cords to something like Wire World.  But enough...
Audioquest Red River vs. Big Sur interconnects
Agree with what hifiman5 said.
Poor bass and treble.
Great that you found an improvement/solution.  It could be that the bass analog circuit or DSP in the Yamaha is pretty crappy.

Agreed on the Audio Sensibility. The Signature Silver interconnects (either XLR or RCA) from Audio Sensibility are probably the best you can do. That is if you want silver. I used to own these interconnects before I moved to OCC/Rhodium. My cousin...
Best used integrated for under $5000
I would vote for Hegel H360 as well.  However, one thing to note is that there is nothing warm about the Hegel.  It's all about high resolution, detail and clarity.  It does have very good punch.I think it would be the same for both the Lyngdorf a...
Any Benefit to Bi-Amping Bookshelf Speakers?
It really depends on how the Marantz handles "bi-amping".  If the Marantz will send the same signal on both bi-amp outputs, then you should be fine with experimentation.  However, I have seen some receivers that handle bi-amp in a weird way.  They...
Hi Fi Tuning Supreme fuse-Burn In?
Like I said, since I haven't tried the BLUE fuses, I don't know what they are going do to the sound.  The only thing people have said is "they sound amazing", but they don't quantify what is being changed.  Since I know how the Furutech and Hi-Fi ...
Looking for ideas - new mono blocks for stereo music
@rost - I honestly don't know.  I bought them used, but they were only manufactured a year ago.  I do have about 500 hours on them at this point.  I have read that about JC1 amps (requiring 1200-1500 hours) and that was a big concern of mine when ...
How to guess the volt-amp rating of the transformer in my amp
That being said, it is true about transformer size dictating output.  Based on what I know, I would agree that transformer is in the 250-300 VA size.
How to guess the volt-amp rating of the transformer in my amp
The sizing of a transformer is actually a lot more complicated than just determining how many watts the unit consumes. Also, the fuses don’t necessarily indicate "actual power use" as they are usually sized to be over the actual usage to allow for...
Should I Upgrade to Latest HDMI?
Somebody maybe look at "callmejacklogan" as it seems he is a spam or robot, possibly.

Your amps, 600W@8 ohms, have twice the rated power necessary to run your speakers. Your amps are not being maximized to their fullest potential - they are not getting enough power.I would like to directly challenge this statement, as I have used ...
Hi Fi Tuning Supreme fuse-Burn In?
@greh - disclaiemr: there’s huge controversy in this industry on whether or not fuses make a difference, but since you can actually hear the difference, this doesn’t matter. The fuse is just one more voltage transfer element in the audio chain, ju...
