Adcom GFP-565 pre-amp Still a demand for them on Ebay. I had no trouble selling mine. And speaking of vinyl lovers, it has a very good phono stage.
Emo dumps Carver, the Carver site is down. He's responding to my post. I never played Bob as a victim; he always lands on his feet and I'm sure got paid. I meant maybe he gave up some intellectual property and then saw that his product was not a good fit for the Emotiva business model. May...
Audio Research CD7 sliding cover - How it works? I like it..."form follows function."
Emo dumps Carver, the Carver site is down. Here's the answer...1/3 down the page. So, yeah Bob sold the company.http://www.carveraudio.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=20&t=17883&start=30
Emo dumps Carver, the Carver site is down. If Emotiva bought Carver, what happens to the US dealers who carry the Carver amps exclusively? How pissed off are they?
Audio Research CD7 sliding cover - How it works? Just slide across horizontally and don't forget to keep it closed when not in use to prevent dust build up. Be aware that dust can build up quickly on the exposed lens.
Emo dumps Carver, the Carver site is down. Jakeman, agree on all points. I hope Bob left without losing anything, but I'll bet Emotiva from the beginning wanted to get a look at his designs.
Emo dumps Carver, the Carver site is down. Bob's a workaholic, will he go back to selling hand-built tube amps on ebay? If Emo owns the patents, he'll have to modify his designs.

Volume seems too low Specs...Speaker sensitivity is only 84dB. Required Amplifier Power is 30-100W. Your amp is only putting out 50w in Pentode mode. How big is your room and how loud do you play?
does import cds sound better Thanks very much for the explanation, Rja. I just assumed they would do some EQ or cleaning up the tracks. I guess the reason for the debate over this format is due to the fact that many doubt a new material will make a difference. I will listen f...
does import cds sound better thanks Rja. I'm also wondering if the SHM process improves the sound of early digital CDs, some of which are bright and thin sounding. I'm asking because there are many SHMCD's of 1980s recordings available and they are priced under $30. Many are...
Maxell or TDK? Another thread where the findings are Maxell and TDK are the best.http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/archive/index.php/t-88956.html
Maxell or TDK? Something I have always wondered is what brand of cassette tape was most widely used by the record labels' dupe facilities. Much higher quality when doing my own recording.
does import cds sound better Does anybody know the process the Japanese are using to make a SHM CD? By that I mean are they using original masters from the record labels; I know the CD itself is made of a different material, but how is the remastering being done? There are a f... |
