Fabric recliner that's comfortable to me. Then adjust tilt of speakers for my ear height from floor. Done. Happy camper ;)! 
Help in minimizing hiss
I'm also using a Schiit Freya, always through tube mode. It's the source of my hiss through Vandersteen 2Ce Sig IIs. I'm only aware of it when music is not playing and then only if I'm standing within 5 feet of the speakers.

In addition to no rack or a low rack between speakers, don't stare at anything. Close your eyes and LISTEN. Music always sounds better with eyes closed.

Agree with others to use speaker wire as jumpers. If you like the sound, you're done. Fwiw, my last three sets of speakers (Monitor Audio, Vandersteen, Vandersteen) have all sounded better bi-wired than jumpered. As always, YMMV...Tom
