Favorite scream in rock?

Robert Palmer lets rip a tremendous, rolling scream near the end of "Sneakin' Sally." "The fact is ... rrrooOOAAAHHHHH .... JUST BEEN CAUGHT."

What's your favorite scream, shout, or yell? Other than Roger Daltrey's, of course.

Back in the Saddle Again    Tyler

Oh Darling     Macca

Twist and Shout     Lennon

Steve Vai sex and religion song 9 survive. The song opens with a helluva scream.

"A Change Is Going to Come" by Baby Huey

Great song, too!

Here’s a few from the 80’s:

1.  “She said Shut up!” (Voices Carry by Til Tuesday)

2.  “Look out for the Bikini Whale!” (Rock Lobster by B52’s)

3.  “Shout!” (In a Big Country by Big Country)

not sure if anyone mentioned it yet, but John Lennon at the beginning of Revolution is a pretty “revolutionary” scream

Getting a woman in the list: Brandi Carlile, The Story.

Also, to the earlier David Lee Roth @jastralfu vote, my understanding is that it was bassist Michael Anthony who did the band's screaming! Roth's range is more limited.

@peterf6 the screams I refer to are all DLR.  You are correct about Anthony having a much higher vocal range and his backing vocals were excellent.  Your Brandi Carlile mention reminded me of her outstanding cover of Soundgardens Searching Wirh My Good Eye Closed.  She belts out a tremendous scream at the end of that.

Let’s not forget Janis Joplin on Take A Little Bit of My Heart, Cry Baby and others.

Most famous - James Brown

Favorite - dream on - Aerosmith

Worst - Yoko Ono

Nobody mentioned Zack de La Rocha from Rage Against the Machine?

WAKE UP!!!

White Rabbit sung by Grace Slick and the Jefferson Airplane. "Feed your head..."

+1 on "The Grudge".

How about Glenn Hughes? Still bringin' it at 70+ Check out some of his later work with the Dead Daises.

"Like No Other (Bassline)" off Holy Ground is one of my favorites. He rips off a few good screams as well.

I saw Roger Daltrey this past July in Boston.  He was awesome. Said he wasn't going to scream, he was honest he couldn't do it like the old days but he was awesome none the less.  Some guys at his age should definitely hang it up but it was one of the most enjoyable concerts I've been to in a long time.   He still rocks !

Wow there are so many good ones!

I have Become a huge Fan of the OZ man lately

Ozzy Osbourne!!  See you on the other side!

Slaw, I've  failed to show my appreciation for your spot on impeccable ear. Likewise jafant...you guys rule

“You CANNOT Petition The LORD With PRAYER!!”
- Jim Morrison

Made me jump the first time.
Maybe not the best rock’n’roll scream, but definitely memorable.

Honorable Mention to Steven Tyler on Back in the Saddle.
Talk about “Sex and Fast Cars”  Try that one on the highway with the windows down.
