Recommend a DAC based on Analog Devices?

Bricasti Designs — M1 Series 2, M3, and M21.

All Audio Mirror DACs are based on AD1865N-K chip. They sound wonderful.

Playback Designs Edelweiss or Dream DAC.

EMM Labs might be the best DAC for the money. 

I have an Audio Mirror Tubadour IV and I can vouch for it. It's a nice DAC.

I’m very happy with my Denifrips Pontus ll.

I just want to add for the benefit of the OP that all of the Bricasti DACs primarily incorporate chips designed and manufactured by Analog Devices.

@clustrocasual, actually it looks much better in person. Very heavy too, considering its size. Made in USA. The designer always stands behind the product, very easy to reach, dawn-to-earth guy.

I’m using AMT V since February. Those 6S45 tubes are pretty tough to break, but once they’re done the sound is unbelievable.

Vlad (the owner) will answer any questions you have. He even did me a favor and built adapters to accommodate 5842/417a tubes, which I’m breaking in as I write. I also put in Soviet-made 6c4p rectifier instead of 6z4. It’s a plug’n’play equivalent.

The sound is absolutely enjoyable. There’s also a fair return policy. Definitely worth a try.

Bricasti uses Analog Devices chips for CPU not conversion. I'm talking about Analog Devices NOS DAC chips like 1865. But I'm not an expert on them (yet).

This month’s Stereophile has a review by Herb Reichert of the Linear Tube Audio Aero. It uses the AD1865, and it’s a positive review. $3950. 

Listened to the new EMM Labs DV2i recently and it has taken a huge step up over the DV2.  To me there could have been 2 upgrades there.  Most companies would have given the DV2 an upgrade and then marketed a “Platinum” version, or something of the sort.  Hats off to EMM Labs with this latest DAC.  I seriously didn’t think there was still this much improvement available in digital. 

I really want to hear this! I'm saving up and attempting to sell my NS1 to fund the upgrade, but it is taking time.
