Whats playing on your system today?


Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma". 
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Van Halen - Balance (2023 remaster).  First time listening to it.  I like it. 

Rod Stewart-If We Fall In Love Tonight(CD 1996) Could be his last recording with top level vocals kicks off Sunday night vinyl.

A new reissue of the 1955 recording Latin Kick by Cal Tjader… great recording… from that golden era of recording. On Qobuz as a newly released jazz album.

Jethro Tull - Ian Anderson - Fresh Snow at Christmas.  Just got the book box set in time to play for Christmas Eve.  Merry Christmas to all! 

Toni Braxton-ST(CD 1992) One of the best R&B releases of the 1990's gets another Sunday night vinyl session started on a very high standard.

 

Went and saw a Pink Floyd cover band Saturday night, so today is starting off with Pink Floyd, DSOTM.

@cincyjim Some time around 1979, I went to a KISS concert in Omaha.  Back when they were huge.  I had never heard of the guy that played before KISS.  John Cougar Mellencamp.... I thought, "damn, he's pretty good". 

Currently listening to Decades by Nightwish. It's different, but I like it. A blend of Orchestra and metal...

Streaming via Spotify, but just ordered the vinyl through a Discogs vendor.

Nancy LaMott-Beautiful Baby(CD 1991) One of the great female vocalists that is unfortunately unknow to many sets a very high standard for Tuesday night vinyl.

Seth Glier-The Next Right Thing(CD 2010) An Audiophile SQ singer/songwriter gem gets Sunday night vinyl of to a great start.
