Whats playing on your system today?

Today I decided to listen to two of my favorite rock guitar heros and one great vocalist. Guitarist' Robin Trower, Ronnie Montrose and vocalist Davey Pattison.

I listened to Trower songs:
Bridge of sighs, Stitch in time, The fool and me, my personal favorite- Too rolling stoned and others.....

Then I pulled out "Gamma".
I listened to: Razor King, Wish I was and Skin and bone and others.....

Davey Pattison hooked has also up with Michael Shenker also. I really enjoyed my day so far. Anybody else heard anything good?

Shelby Lynne-Love, Shelby(CD 2001)

Lilith Fair-A Celebration Of Women In Music(CD 1998 Disc 1)

A verbally intense beginning for Sunday night vinyl.

Stravinsky/Debussy-Erich Leinsdorf(Sheffield Lab CD-24 1985) My only Sheffield Lab CD jumpstarts a Thursday night vinyl session.

CSN&Y, “4Way Street”   Vinyl

These protest songs from the late 60’s and early 70’s seem very appropriate in todays political climate.

Mott The Hoople,  “The Anthology”.  CD

The MC5, “Heavy Lifting”.  CD
This is the last and final MC5 album and was written by the last surviving member of the MC5, brother Wayne Kramer who passed away just before its release.  It is a very hard hitting album, bringing the MC5 back to their roots

The MC5, “Kick Out The Jams”.    CD.  The album that started it all, one of most exciting acts to come out of Detroit, so much better than the Amboy Dukes and Iggy Pop and the Stooges.  Unfortunately, drug use took its toll on the band. Singer Rob Tyner and lead guitarist Wayne Kramer truly stole the show!

Little Feat - Waiting for Columbus.  The 8 CD set.  A great boogie woogie band in their prime.

Bruce Springsteen-Live/1975-85(3 CD Box 40558 1986/92) Disc 3. An invigorating start for another Sunday night vinyl.

Within Temptation - Resist.

I've found myself kinda bored with my normal audiophile stuff.  I've been listening to some hard rock and metal.  It's good stuff, though.

Animals - Pink Floyd. The 2018 remixed and remastered version sounds better than all of their other albums now IMO. Wish You Were Here is my favorite so I’m hoping the 50th anniversary version is as good.

Prince ! Purple Rain

The 1984 film "Purple Rain," starring Prince, won an Academy Award for Best Original Motion Picture Score and earned Prince three Grammy Awards, including Best Album of Original Score Written for a Motion Picture or a Television Special.
