Seeking Hi-Fi DJ for Daughter's Wedding.

Are there any legitimate Hi-Fi DJ's out there?  I have long wondered why DJ's don't upgrade their systems, most of which sound like  . . .   well you know.    I'm ready to pay for a serious DJ with serious sound system, but don't know where to begin the search.   Wedding is in Albany, NY area  --  but I'm willing to pay travel.

Any recommendations appreciated.

Reach out to Channa on his Home Theater  Techno Dad's YouTube Channel. He DJ's in California. Forget what part of the State he's based out of.

+1 russ69.  I have yet to hear anything high fidelity from a DJ at a wedding.  The kids dancing at the wedding don't care about high fidelity sound, they want it loud with gut-thumping (mid)bass.  I'd rather get a good band, but ultimately this should be your daughter's call, shouldn't it?  She'll want to choose a playlist, etc.  Remember, it is HER day!

Congrats!   My daughter is getting married next year.   They actually ended up getting a band.   They checked out a few DJs and as others said none had anything close to HiFi.

They wanted so much money that  I think it helped their decision to book a band.  Welcome to wedding planning after Covid.  Event venues and vendors are completely gouging anyone getting married.   That include DJs and bands.

Good luck

Please, no more responses.  Sorry I asked the question.   Didn't expect a bunch of snot-nosed chirping.

The only "snot nosed chirping" you got was from @secretguy , and that's just his snotty nature. It comes out all the time.

Even if you could find such a "hi-fi" DJ, you'd be the only one at the wedding who gives a crap. And that's the sad reality of it. All you really need is something LOUD and a really good playlist. Anything more is lost on the masses.
