Seeking Hi-Fi DJ for Daughter's Wedding.

Are there any legitimate Hi-Fi DJ's out there?  I have long wondered why DJ's don't upgrade their systems, most of which sound like  . . .   well you know.    I'm ready to pay for a serious DJ with serious sound system, but don't know where to begin the search.   Wedding is in Albany, NY area  --  but I'm willing to pay travel.

Any recommendations appreciated.

Congrats!   My daughter is getting married next year.   They actually ended up getting a band.   They checked out a few DJs and as others said none had anything close to HiFi.

They wanted so much money that  I think it helped their decision to book a band.  Welcome to wedding planning after Covid.  Event venues and vendors are completely gouging anyone getting married.   That include DJs and bands.

Good luck

Please, no more responses.  Sorry I asked the question.   Didn't expect a bunch of snot-nosed chirping.

The only "snot nosed chirping" you got was from @secretguy , and that's just his snotty nature. It comes out all the time.

Even if you could find such a "hi-fi" DJ, you'd be the only one at the wedding who gives a crap. And that's the sad reality of it. All you really need is something LOUD and a really good playlist. Anything more is lost on the masses.

Hi---I DJ'd years ago and knew a few local mobile DJs. We mostly used good quality DJ equipment like Gemini and Numark. JBLs are good party speakers. I remember going clubbing back in the day and I always liked to know what the 'good' systems had for speakers and they were mostly, if not all, JBLs. Best of luck!
