New Jersey Yes! Someone come start one in Newton! Lots of available store fronts. Good parking.
Anyone read this NYT story about analog audio bars?

Is there anything like this in NJ?
Should we make one?
There is a great vinyl bar in Petoskey, Michigan called Malted Vinyl. All McIntosh electronics, Technics turntables and JBL L100 speakers. Patrons choose the records from the owner's private collection and the bartender puts the records on and plays one side all the way through. They have a pretty good record collection. I player side one of Van Morrison w/Joey DeFrancesco - "You're Driving Me Crazy" on a quiet Sunday afternoon and it was fantastic. |
Membership clubs would be best as business costs would be paid upfront while input and equipment choices decided amongst the membership. Evaluations and equipment updated often. Not to mention music selection also curated by the whole. Could start with an audiophile group in large urban area putting their heads and money together. Location would not matter at all. Access would be an issue...what if everyone came at one time? |
We have this sort of venue in Chicago as well. I have yet to try one out, but this post reminds me to do so! https://www.timeout.com/chicago/restaurants/the-listening-room-at-the-exchange |
