Does Anyone Else Have a Very Slow Connection to Audiogon?


I've noticed a very slow connection to and opening of posts on Agon for the past few days. I've checked my virus scan and VPN for flags but have found nothing. Its only this site that is giving me trouble. Anyone else having issues? Any help appreciated.

Everything today is about making money from things,that we're free before.Add Blockers,Slow Speeds get faster service for only $2.99 a month.Every time you get a new news story it's from a company you have to join the read the story but it's only 1.99 a month.Here on Long Island NY .I get stories from every county or town,please join our site,to finish reading the story...Stop.The same thing with Audio Stories about new products, new music etc...until ur overloaded.

Found a pair of Iconoclast cables I have been waiting on for the past 9 months on 08/23/25...I was able to put in an offer but right after that, the site kicked me out and I was unable to log back in for a few hours...Total NONSENSE, I tell ya!

 

Yes. Site is slow, cloudflare widget doesn't work half the time, I submit a post/reply and then cloud flare checks again and times out and loses the post (I'm writing in Word now instead), ads are invasive.

I installed uBlock Lite on my iPhone, and the popup ads on Audiogon are no longer showing up.  Outstanding news!

very slow again today...wonder if Audiogon tracks how many potential customers never get to the website because of constant new log in, prove you are  human, then super slow service...I often give up ...

I gave up yesterday, I couldn't get anywhere on it. Today is better it makes no sense.

All of the new and amazing amount of pop up ads slow down the connection and make the page jump around. If this continues, it is yet another reason to leave audiogon.

Based on your post above, I emailed support@audiogon.com and said "It seems many people have reported similar connection speed issues so something needs to be checked (server load, may need faster servers, too many ads, etc)".  

I included your comments above and a link to this Audiogon forum post for their review.  I also mentioned that sometimes the connection speed is normal and other times, like today, it is slow.   Obviously, this needs to get fixed.  Thanks.

It is impossible to post a comment from my cell phone. The ads pop up  and over the entire comment window, and the scrolling function freezes.

Audiogon currently unusable from my cell phone...simply slow and log-in nuisance from desktop...I’m sure Audiogon is fully aware...the slowness has been going on for years...the log-in and pop ups are new...

The thing that annoy me the most is we cannot post youtube image with the link ...

It is slow on my desktop computer but at least no pop-up here ...

Mine is loaded with pop ups and jumps around as @unreceivedogma says. I'm using a PC, windows 10 and everything is through google. Maybe it has something to do with windows 10 becoming obsolete? Thanks MS. Nuther fine mess.

With so many posting here about their connection, refresh speed, and pop-up troubles, it is hard to believe that Audiogon doesn’t already know what is wrong.

Very very very slow. I thought buying a new amplifier would help and it didn't. So I bought a new M4 chip iPad and that did not fix the problem. I went to church came home and my prayers weren't answered. I tried blaming my kids but I don't have any. I tried Uber eats and the food came very Quick.  Concluded slowness is isolated to this website.

I Reflected on other challenges I'm having and decided this was really quite trivial.  Obviously, annoying things like all the supercharged advertisements that keep blinking and flashing all over the place Will likely continue.

Then I took solace because knowing that those with extreme wealth who frequent this website as well are sharing my experience and that brought me some comfort.
