Yes, it has definitely been slow and certainly more annoying ads.
i will add a complaint, though not entirely limited to this site. Using my iPad, I frequently get page errors long after it has completed loading. This forces a refresh of the page, and if I am typing a response like this, it will get erased. Very annoying. Anyone else have this problem?

Can be very slow to log in and some times it will not let me until the 3rd or 4 try. it will log me out some times

@artemus_5
Nobody wants to talk about bad grammar. So many people are complacent about it, and when it's mentioned all they have to do is call you the "Grammar Police." It usually ends there because it's not worth the argument. Whatever. Let's all drop out of school if it's such a waste of time.
There are more important matters for me than Audiogon, so I don't read that much here.

slow and frequent logins is great fun...just had to prove I wasn't a robot...
I did not even knew that there was pop up and publicity...
My computer block it all on all sites anyway. ..
But this site is slow these days...
I use adblocker+ too, still have problems.
I use AdBlocker. It works well.
They have been invaded by gremlins! 🐲

Yes, it’s been terrible. Just 5 minutes ago, I clicked on 3 different items for sale and get the “oops Audiogon 500” error message. After 2 more tries, the link is suddenly good. It’s getting I don’t visit here as much because of connectivity problems. Life is too short for this BS.

@unclewilbur
People don’t capitalize, punctuate, use spaces, or follow any grammar at all.
Thanks. I had to laugh at that and I needed the laugh this afternoon. I’m only laughing to keep from crying. Cursed are those helicopter parents who believed it necessary to send Little Johnny &/or Sally to 2nd grade with a new cell phone, back in the early 2000's. Being children with tiny fingers, they quickly figured out how to send messages to their friends across the classroom without being caught. The outcome, now we have perfectly good telephones being used as typewriters. Millenniums were spent trying to to invent a way to send our voices to our friends over long distances. Now those with BIG fingers spend their time sending anagrams to strangers who haven’t a clue what they are writing about. Yes,it even happens on Hifi forums and in college research papers. OK, I’ll slide that soapbox back under the desk now. .

I use a program called Aura which is a ad blocker and also unscribes me from data collectors of my information and have not seen a pop up ad since
I previously posted that I installed 1Blocker on my iPhone and it did a great job of blocking unwanted Audiogon ads — that was the good news.
Unfortunately, The issue is it also blocked me from playing solitaire on my phone. I don’t have time or interest to troubleshoot this further so I ended up deleting 1Blocker altogether.
I also understand that the ads above and below the forum content are important for generating revenue, which helps Audiogon support the maintenance of the Audiogon forums. I have no issues with this but get very frustrated when an Amazon Prime ad pops up in the middle of my forum content.
When an Ad appears, there is a symbol to the left of the 3 dots. I hit this triangle like symbol, hit the tab that says send feedback and tell Google I am not interested in this ad.
Yikes - In addition, another Amazon prime AD just appeared using Safari on my iPhone on Saturday, August 23 at 7am, California time. I immediately notified Audiogon customer support this Amazon ad appearing is very frustrating and interruptive to me reading Audiogon forums. Sometimes I just give up reading the forums.
The ads above and below the forum content are okay but NOT in the middle of the forum content. Their appearance is VERY disruptive. Thanks.

Not always but very often. It is annoying.
It seems much better this morning,
Use a ad blocker to eliminate popups and ads. I use AdGuard app on my iPad to block pops and ad banners, works like a charm.
The slowness and popup ads reduces the time that I want to spend on the Agon site.
Also, while I've been logged in, I've typed responses on threads only to have my reply lost when it redirects me to the login page. Moderators help please???
Yes,it's been slow and ads, like crazy...Amazon prime, has been coming up like crazy This is not good at all.
It’s starting to become a pain in the butt !
Yes. Slow to load for the last couple of days here as well.

The ads make the page jump around every two seconds, so I constantly have to relocate what I’m reading! The pop-up ads cover half of the screen. Then writing in the little box is an exercise in futility because the words are hidden at both margins!
The other issue I have with Agon is the writing of most subscribers is terrible. People don’t capitalize, punctuate, use spaces, or follow any grammar at all. Some people capitalize excessively, thinking that they have added their personal creative flair! It’s a complete waste of time to be constantly frustrated. So, I do sudoku puzzles instead. Sudoku obeys logic!

That was happening for a short while earlier this morning for me, but it straightened itself out after about 10 minutes.
My connection has occasionally been slow but my main problems have been my Anti-virus freaking out with some of their adds and sometimes when click on things in the forums it occasionally takes me to an advertisers web page for no reason even when I'm sure I didn't click on that. Not too sure if their IT guy knows what he's doing.
Thanks Guys. Guess I'm better off that some. My VPN blocks pop ups. With all the confirmation of others concerning this issue, I have to wonder if Audiogon isn't trying to rid themselves of these forums by making the experience unbearable? IMO & IME Audiogon has never. been interested in promoting a good community atmosphere for the audiophile community I've been here since 2000 or 2001 and good community only happenned here in spite of the Agon leadership, NOT because of it.
I too get that 👆🏼👆🏼 too, slow to load and the ads cause the page to jump when I try to read it (iPad). I’ve been here since 2008, it’s never been this annoying. It’s definitely lost much of the Fun Factor.
When I open Audiogon, I sometimes received a message saying “Safari couldn't open the page because the server stopped responding”. Yes, response time is slow.
@nogaps I have to relog in 50% of the time I come here. I opened several service requests and Tammy tried for a couple weeks to get the situation corrected but to no avail. I am reconciled to just living with it. And as to the OP's question, yes, load times have been frustratingly slow for me.
It had a really slow response time earlier today, but for some hours now has been running fairly smooth/swift.
Not overly slow in my case, but they keep logging me out, which is annoying.
Reminds me of the movie 'Idiocracy' where the guy is looking at his TV and its all surrounded by ads with the tv show in a tiny little portion of the screen. That movie was a crystal ball of the future.
Yes, very slow to reload pages for days now compared to other websites. Made me try restarting my entire digital chain but same result.
Please put me on the yes list.
Yes. Super slow. Audiogon needs to fix what ever is causing this.
I just sent my response and immediately a pop ad comes up. I’m done for the day.
Yes. As for the pop up ads, there will be a point that their ads will back fire on them. I’ll only tolerate so much before I move on somewhere else. I’m sure I’m not alone that feels this way.
Slow and occasional 500 errors.
Yep, It will be fixed as quickly as the pop-up ads.
Yep, It will be fixed as quickly as the pop-up ads.

Every Saturday for months.

Yes, I am finding it slow now
Yes-I thought it was my ancient computer.
Yes, I’ve had the same issue of pages loading slowly here. It also is sluggish when making a post.
Yes. At first I assumed my connection, then my device... I have eliminated all of those. It must be Audiogon.
It's been terrible!
The site has way too many ads to load and in the past many hidden "roll overs" that would trigger virus warnings/scans that would self trigger. But at least I haven't had any of those in weeks.
