Get the best from your system while listening without any cost
Turn off your solar systems inverter while seriously listening, as it puts very high frequency s***t back into your house mains wires, as does your microwave and anything with a smp (switch mode power supply) which ends up in your system, I’ve seen it on the oscilloscope. And if the missus want to cook with the microwave, tell her to get take out delivered
Simple way to test if you don’t have a oscilloscope, is get a portable AM radio that does not mute if "off station", and tune down to around 700khz on AM and turn up the volume and go near any smp power supply and listen to it squeal it’s head off, this noise is getting injected into you home mains wiring and your system..
so everything that runs on electric in your home give out interference when its plugged in the wall out
Mainly products like solar inverters and SMP supplies (Switch Mode Power supplies), go back a few years and we didn’t have these SMP’s or Solar Inverters in the house, and back then things seem to be far more consistent in sound from day to day. Today your system sounds great, tomorrow not so good? you put it down to yourself not being "in the mood", but you "were" otherwise you wouldn’t have turned it on.
Well this was different, so everything that runs on electric in your home give out interference when its plugged in the wall outlet and the only way is to shut down the power in your home except for the power running to your system...interesting. So then I won't need thousands of dollars in cables for my system.Or then again I do....hmmmmmm .I live in a complex and my town house has a neighbor to my left and one in the rear connected units......so I guess I never will have silent sound.

This exactly what I do when I want to listen seriously and the missus is out, takes a few seconds, but many here don’t have dedicated audio lines to do that with.
I do run all my system components through power conditions/filters for protection from transient spikes. No hums, no electrical noise at all.
I have not yet seen a good power conditioner/filter that doesn’t detract from explosive transients compared to when a power/amp is plugged direct into mains, but they are great for source equipment. I use my own using isolation transformers and expensive Siemens large block filtering brick sized cans that are used in medical theater equipment, one for each source piece, that way they have some isolation from each other as well.

Most of this can be avoided by wiring your system on a separate spur connected immediately after the supplier’s fuse and connecting all the house mush further down another line.
I don’t know how that is possible, as my system has a dedicated fuse line I installed myself, but they all still connect to the same live/neutral and earth before the mains fuse/s, and there’s no way mains fuses isolate each line for this.

Georgehifi, it may be measurable but that does not mean it is a problem. I use ESLs and nothing in the house seems to bother my system. It even sounds great when the generator is running. Having said all that my house has it's very own transformer. The electric company made me purchase and install a separate Lawn wart because they were afraid my work shop which runs on a rotary 3 phase converter would dim everyone else's lights. I was not thinking about the HiFi when the wart was installed but I am effectively isolated from the rest of the world. However. I am not isolated from myself and we run microwaves, laser projectors, AC, humidifiers, whole house vacuum cleaner, big Sub Zero refrigerator, little Sub Zero refridgerator, wine keeper and ice maker, hair driers, Sous Vide cooker, vacuum packer, pressure washer and numerous small appliances not to mention my workshop. I have never heard any ill effect from any of this and the only thing between the main line and my system is a sacrificial whole house surge protector.

Of course that won't protect you from your neighbour's mush coming in along the electric company's line, but the source of that is a long ways away so it will be at a much lower level.

Not must ... but you definitely should try listening in the dark.
With your eyes closed you'll enjoy greatly improved soundstage and imaging. This effect becomes even better when sitting in the dark with your eyes open.
Glad I live alone in a big house. Nobody microwaving, no teenagers blow-drying, audio on a separate circuit, and the few neighbors all retire by 10 pm. Music blasts from a black background while I pee off the deck gazing out at Jupiter and no one the wiser.
This is not snake oil (aka $200 fuses) it’s measurable. Trouble is, a mains filter can get rid of it on your source equipment, but from my experience mains filters are detrimental for poweramps to be on them, as they introduce current limiting and series resistance.
Doesn’t cost anything, just try it, turn it all off, especially the solar inverter and have a good listen.
All the portable "AM radio test squeal" shows, is the amount of "radiated noise" imitating from any smp powered appliance in a household, and if this is through the air, imagine what is going back into the house wiring being hard coupled electrically to the said smp.

Most do serious listening at night for a start so turn it off. And what if in the day you turn it off for a couple of hours to listen, it won’t break the bank. As here in Au now, we get a pittance (rebate) back these days from the electricity companies, compared to what we used to get years ago feeding the solar power back into the grid.
All it’s good for these day is charging a wall or car battery, and that battery technology need some serious advancing for house or cars, as it’s $8k for the car lasts 8years and then is one of the most polluting products to make on the earth, and to dispose of.
An AM radio station is full of noise to begin with , I came across something a bit different Synergistic research sells their speaker clarifiers and found a slight improvement filtering noise , at a audio get together I heard a much more elaborate Version which was on U.S audio mart ,made with Jupiter capacitors,and Top Mundorf Ultra resistors ,i bought a pair and they really filter the HF noise much better . I don’t know how they work but they do a nice Job.

So, if costs me the flow of over 5kW of energy that I could be using to put me into a lower "price structure" during the day where I save on my power bill, how is that without any cost?
