Rega Brio would be a good option potentially. Congrats on the speakers
Purchased new speakers, need amp suggestion
I am just getting back into the hobby after a few years out. i just purchased a pair of Focal Aria 936, love them already, i am currently using a Denon DR 800 2 channel streaming receiver(purchased so we can stream Sirius XM) i will be using the zone 2 output to run the amp. looking to stay around the 1k range. Any help appreciated.

Something with balls. The Aria 936 is not as efficient as the specs might have you believe. I'd look for a class AB amp of at least 75watts/ch RMS power. $1K is quite limiting as far as new amps go, so you might be better off with a pre-owned amp. You could do a lot worse than this Luxman: https://www.audiogon.com/listings/lis9h4f7-luxman-m-117-stereo-power-amplifier-m117-20059-solid-state or this Exposure: https://www.audiogon.com/listings/lis9h6b6-exposure-2010s-stereo-power-amplifier-2010-s-20544-solid-state If you must buy new, I'd get this Parasound: https://www.audioadvisor.com/mobile/prodinfo.asp?number=PAC2250V2 ^Nowhere else are you going to find a brand new amp of that quality and power for $1K. |
i have been impressed with the monolith amps from monoprice. The amps are built by a quality amp builder (ATI) and have very good specs. $999 gets you a class AB amp with 200 watts/8 ohms, balanced XLR inputs, a toroidal transformer, remote trigger port, THD of .03% at full power, and a SNR of better than 120db. Plus it has a 5 year warranty. I am considering one myself...because it’s a whole lot of amp for the money |
A year later and I still absolutely love my 300wpc Peachtree Nova 300, built-in DAC, superclean and powerful. https://www.themasterswitch.com/peachtree-audio-nova300-review |
