You run a store which sells used and new gear from any point in history. The catch is you can have exactly 2 brands. One of electronics one of speakers.
Defunct brands are OK as are those current with long histories.
Hello, Samsung and Sony. Due to the lines that Samsung own and Sony because they cover the rest. Did anyone hear about the Sony A9 4.1 surround system. It is supposed to be totally incredible and a totally immersive experience. Maybe we can just add this system to our 2channel rooms so we don’t have to compromise our awesome 2 Channel systems. Have you noticed how many people still have their projection screens in their 2channel rooms. I know I still do. Maybe it’s time to get back into HT or music surround sound. Of course we will still have one seat in the room. 😁 No need to tell people you added the Sony A9 system.
Only two brands? That’s going to be tuff and I have to make rent by the end of the month so I’m going with Marantz and Paradigm.
If I just won a large Lottery and I’m looking for a hobby instead of hanging out on the beach all day of fear of skin cancer then it’s MBL. I’m covered with speakers too and I just made my life easier having only one vendor and not dealing with another… gives me more time on the beach.
McIntosh, including vintage used! And Magnepan as McIntosh has the needed power to drive the big ones! Let's not forget LRS speakers and that McIntosh sells a full rnge of gear
You have no business opening a store with only two brands… new twist on the desert island question.
The real point of this thread is to find out who would be interesting to hang out with for no reason at all and who is going to rain on all the interesting discussions. :-)
Plus Mac has a line of speakers TOO. There are a few of their speakers I would love to try..
VMPS closed down in 2012, that might be a problem.. Sure have a cult following. I loved them.. Still do..
That guy would send out a person or show up himself and set the speakers up including the passive radiator (Mortite putty pinching to the size of a thumb nail) for the guys room and amp.
It was and is an Impressive way to tune a system.. and WAS Impressive customer service. The price was just really reasonable too. Still are..
Edifier - because it's a good brand. Sony, because it's well-known. A store for the masses. This is why dealers close to where I live are starving (no audiophiles, only folks with nice backyards, pools, excessive home improvements, big tvs etc.
