Tone Arm Lifter

Are you looking for a cue-ing device that requires manually moving a lever or pressing a button, to lift the tonearm off the LP, or are you looking for automation? I would have thought that the 1300G would come with a manual cue-ing device.

1300G looks like it may be the one I may consider for a reasonably priced DD.

I will be looking for your comments on performance.

The only thing I see concerning is the possibility of that short spindle not allowing for a reflex type clamp to flatten my(not so flat) gems?

Hi , They are great. very simple mechanisms. Easy to install, look quality in stainless steel. since they are a bit expensive and don't degrade with time, I would look for used one!  here is a link

I’ve been  using a Littlefwend with my SL1200-G for about 5 years.  Works great!

Another vote for Littlefwend. I am using them with my Technics and Garrard TT’s. 

Wasn't there something called Cue Up? My memory may be faulty here.

Cue up works for me! Nothing sexy about it but it gets the job done. One caviat though. Tonearm height is tight for some tables. I have a mmf 7.3 and the stock setup requires me to strip the pad off of the lifter so it is a little noisy when activates. Placement is critical and double sided tape was necessary but for fifty bucks it got the job done. Cheap insurance for the times I don’t beat the runout groove.

I also use Little Fwend on my 1200G. It works great and is easy to install and adjust. I first had the Tru Lift, it was very finicky. 

I use Little Fwend on my Thorens TD 160. It was a bit finicky to setup, as it was a tight fit between platter and tonearm, but once tweaked into position it works well.

I've used an Audio-Technica Safety Raiser for a couple of years on my Origin Live Resolution. A little fiddly to set up, but once done, works great.

Another vote for the Audio Technica AT6006R!  Quality manufacturing, reasonably priced and lifts your tonearm gently.  There are cheaper or less expensive alternatives that lift a tonearm but do so very abruptly.  I wouldn't trust those.  My fear is the tonearm would bounce around and the cartridge & stylus could come crashing down on the record.  Little Fwend is nice, well reviewed but wickedly overpriced.  The AT is half the price, as well manufactured and works just as well.  It's a little finicky to set up correctly but works like a charm.

Thank you all for the replies!  As I looked harder at the table it seems there is very little space between the platter and the arm in which to put one of these clever lift devices.  I see a few here say they use one with their technics tables, and it makes me wonder if the spacing there is different than on the newer 1300G.

A vote for Integrity HiFi’s Tru-lift.

ONE caveat: it WILL leak silicone oil over time making the actuator slip off the ledge on the piston. You’ll think you’re good to sit down for a few minutes’ leisurely listening and… SKIP… SKIP…SKIP…SKIP same groove over and over until you get up, lift up the tonearm, press the piston back down and once in a while figuring out how to get a naphtha (lighter fluid) or Isopropyl alcohol-soaked pointy q-tip or bit of folded paper towel into the gadget to degrease it so it’ll work for several weeks or months again.

Maybe I need to contact the company and say hey, for this much money I can’t recommend your product until it’s fixed.
