So, I have never been to a football game there, But that stadium has Guinness World Record of being the loudest...
"Guinness measured an ear-shattering 142.2 dbA roar at Arrowhead Stadium in the Chiefs’ 41-14 rout of the Patriots. The record-breaking sound came with eight seconds left in the first quarter after the Chiefs stuffed New England’s Shane Vereen for no gain on second down.
For context, 140 dbA is the estimated sound on the deck of a busy aircraft carrier."
Kinda wondering how the hearing has diminished for those football players and Ref's and how many are having hearing problems from it ...
I attended a NASCAR race for the first time and my wife and I thought it would be cool to sit on the first row. Thank God for earmuffs or we'd both be deaf! When you have 35 or so running together with over 800 hp each it is shocking. That and getting bombarded by rubber pellets made for a memorable experience.
Mahomie has looked off a couple games this year. Yesterday was one of them. Joe Burrow still proving to Ohio. State that they should have kept him. Matthew Stafford is glad his team doesn't suck anymore. Tom almost did it again. Ben Roflisberger said goodby and Aaron stumbled again. Best.playoffs ever.
Went to Arrowhead for one of those all day stadium concerts back in '76. Jeff Back was one act cant remember the others except for the closer Ted Nugent. Noise complaints from 10 miles away lol
When the Rams came to Saint Louis, you couldn’t hear yourself think for most of the game. By the third year, you could. And by the fifth year, you could hear a pin drop because there was little to cheer for.
Raven’s fan here. Still gotta root for the long time oppressed ie Cincinnati Bengals. Will try to ignore any insufferable Bengals fans. Football makes people go nuts sometimes. Go figure!
As a long time Chiefs fan, I am disappointed with yesterday’s outcome. Are the Bengals the better team?? They were yesterday, and they are going to the “show”. The Chiefs need to shore up their defense. I will however be cheering for Cincy.
Mahomes says it's a "team" game, but clearly he made the major mistakes of not going for 3 and thinking he had another timeout at half time... He got nervous or something in the second half, strange for sure... Oh well...
Go Chiefs... aaah scratch that...I mean... Go Bengals!!
I was told we were the first marching band to play at Arrowhead stadium back in 72 or 73, it was loud even back then.... since then I always wore earplugs but even the best foam plugs were not strong enough at some games...at least Cincinn earned the comeback of their careers while Mahomes admits he was way-off that 2nd half. Boy was he...
Anyone that chooses to wear earplugs at a Football game I have a suggestion. Why don’t you use a blindfold too. That way you won’t see them either..... LOL.
In all seriousness Joe Burrow grew up about an hour from me. I'm a Browns fan but right now I'm all Bengals...
Been to a few Seahawks games (we've traded that loudest stadium record back and forth with KC). I wouldn't dream of attending without earplugs - my hearing's way too important to me!
Concensus says that the Rams are the overall most physically imposing and "talented" team. So why do I feel that the Bengals are gonna back door this thing somehow? There's just something about them...the proverbial IT factor. With Joe Burrow and company on the field they'll find a way. But it won't be pretty...Cinci's porous OL will be exposed and Joe's britches are sure gonna get dirty. Baton Rouge is in my backyard so Cinci is a home fave for me. Take the +3 1/2 and see you at the pay window.
