What is the #1 equipment want currently on your HiFi horizon???

Okay I will start.

1. Reclocker for my DAC.
chorus
A new turntable arm and cartridge.  I'm pretty sure it is going to be a Clearaudio Performance DC with the Tracer arm and an Ortofon Cadenza Bronze cartridge.  I plan to drive to Atlanta next Wednesday and buy them.
The new RAAL-Requisite headphone amp ($5K) for the SR1a and the new headphones they are releasing. It is a tube based design and I tend not not like tubes however, after speaking with RAAL-Requisite I am very  interested to hear it.
Very next step is an upgrade to my PreAmp/Dac/Headphone amp from the Burson Conductor 3 Performance to the Conductor 3 Reference(unbalanced)..
After that maybe(BIG maybe)an upgrade from the M30.1's to a 3 way floorstander & I'm off the merry go round for good...
Feickert Volare for my second system.  And maybe a Hi Fi Rose for my main rig ...
Don’t know what it is yet.

The families increased day to day use of digital has me in a conundrum of deciding a more universal access device over our current Squeezebox Touch.

I did it…sold the Node2i and went with a Aurender N100SC. Can’t wait to get everything up and running!
Passive volume control.
Maybe getting rid of the preamp will help.  Maybe not.
Best system ever heard.
Maybe a Jung super-regulator. .
Tough call.

I too am waiting for GR Research to rebuild the XOs for my Tannoys.
Once I have those done and the new clock upgrade for my DAC
I am sure I will have achieved bliss!!
My one want would be to hear an altec lansing a1x play my favorite recordings in a location that is good for sound using those speakers.
Well I have to say it's two wants and one arrived (delivered by the good people at Music Direct) a few days ago was my what I am calling my last SACD/CD player that is replacing a Yamaha CD-S2100 SACD/CD player that I purchased six seven months earlier (anyone interested in a mint SACD? CD player?) and for GR Research to finalize an update kit for the ATC SCM19v2' that I'm interested in.  And then I hope I'm done updating , upgrading stuff and just sit down and just listen to music.
"A larger, heavier version of something I already have.   Delivered when my wife is not home."

Time tested. Thank goodness for tracking notifications.
Right now I’m working on component isolation, and still playing with different cables.  I would like to add a more competent CD transport before retirement.  But as we all know, directions can change in the blink of an eye.
Definitely going back to Magico. Miss them so much since I changed them to YG.
I haven’t pulled the trigger because I’m fairly confident it wont be a order of magnitude improvement over my current Gustard X16.

not gonna happen... order of magnitude improvements just don’t happen in this pursuit unless you are talking about spendor sp100's over bose 301’s

$1700 chi-fi r2r dac over $600 chi-fi ds unit... lucky if its 10-15% better... then we all decide how much that is worth to us...

but once you have heard better, the lesser option is pretty hard to retreat to...
I've been toying with the idea of investing in an R2R DAC.  Specifically the Denafrips Pontus II.

I haven't pulled the trigger because I'm fairly confident it wont be a order of magnitude improvement over my current Gustard X16.

I'm keeping and eye on the used market and if a good deal on a Pontus II pops up, I might go for it.
A pair of good subs, maybe Rel t9 or similar to go with my LRS.  Or possibly move up the Maggie line to 1.7i?  Also a better DAC than the Joilda I have now.  Damn those Denafrips reviews!  :-)
That's easy, I need a Aurender N100SC streamer, the one with the digital coax output and on board SSD for your library.. That thing is nice, problem is I just picked up a Schiit Yggdrasil and a bunch of Synergistic Research Orange fuses (which are shockingly amazing) so I need to cool it on buying toys for a little while.
A larger, heavier version of something I already have.   Delivered when my wife is not home.

Thanks to a certain member who will go unnamed but has a fetish for white hot stampers my next audio purchase will be a turntable.
I resemble that remark!
Dr Feikert Trio with a Kuzma 4 point 11.

But if we are talking obtainable now with current funds, I would like to know if there is a non VPI tone arm that I can mount to my VPI Super Prime Scout.

Unless VPI will make the gimbaled arm on the new Prime 21 available to purchase seperately for a reasonable price.
Hello,
For MC to sell his Herron phono stage to me for $2500.

Dream on.

I'm dreaming of a Onkk Cue and Soundsmith SG1. If that dream came true I might just maybe sell the Herron. But not for $2500. Not with all the TC, fO.q and Krissy magic mine has. Add another thou, at least.

Not to worry, it would still be a bargain even at $4k.

My #1 real answer is the Raven Blackhawk, already on order. Question then will be does that fill the bill, or is it a place holder for when they can build me a Reflection?

Zero nothing nota. Matter of fact I am consolidating and cleaning house.
Perhaps speakers that bring soundstage forward into the room.  I've heard horns do this, but WAF precludes considering them.
I want Tekton speakers as I understand they can compete with speaker 10 times the price. For sure powered by Raven amps. Bur for sure you have to make sure its all on Townsend pods. Otherwise you are leaving so much on the table.

Oh crap. Most importantly, suspend your cables after you cover your room in red shag carpet from the early 70s. This is key!

If you dont believe me, I can send you links to what random "listeners" said about my system. Once you read this completely unbiased feedback...you will totally "get it" unless you are a left leaning individual.
Wow. At least MC has passion and knows what he wants.

Not that I would want Tetons lol Tekton’s  but that is his choice.
I currently have a Lyngdorf MP-40 processor, two Legacy Foundation Subwoofers, and a Sony XR-55A90J Big Screen on order, along with some custom Chestnut reclaimed barn siding tables to go in our room ... Wanting to try Room Perfect with those new subs ... And That TV is said to be unbelievable ..
Used ARC tube amp to power the top end of my T-I-C speakers through my EC-21 crossover.

Cheers!
A NAS, a music server, and a Roon based system? But I am not sure if that can replace my 1000 plus CDs, so maybe nothing.
@danager,

"Just When You Think You’re Out, They Pull You Back In"

Me too. There's just something endlessly fascinating about watching a turntable spin.

A return to vinyl (at least to play back those 50 odd LPs I couldn’t part with) seems fairly inevitable.

However due to the sheer bewildering choice out there this could take some time.

This time there will be no need to go mad and throw money into a bottomless money pit.

There’s tons of great decks available, even cheap as chips direct drive models from the likes of Audio Technica and Lenco etc nevermind the superlative designs from Technics.

Or alternatively there’s still plenty of decent half forgotten vintage models out there that are still going strong.
Waiting for acquired Maggie’s 3.7i. Next looking for a pair of mono MC601/611 mac’s to go along.  In the longer run, upgrading room acoustics, planning and building a music rack myself, and looking into a DAC/steamer for getter sources.  Further down the road, upgrading the electrical/conditioners etc..... lots of fun
Got a Pi2AES for my Pi and that really measures well as a DDC and its ability to get rid of noise and jitter is astonishing.
Looking for a Phono section to use with a Bobs's MC Transformer as it needs to feed MM to work and I just have line.
Complete Mark Levinson electronics driving Wilson Audio Watt-Puppy speakers, ultra-high  end LP turntable, a nice collection  of moving-coil cartridges a few thousand LPs, and a new mansion or mega-yacht to put it all in....as if!
Maybe Focal Kanta 2 (local shop has some demos),
or hold out for a deal on Kanta No.3.
oh i just must must must must have the new audio gd r2r dac from china!!!!!!!!

NOT... 😂😂😂😂
Refinishing my basement right now. Once it is done, a new turntable for sure. Also got an Oppo 105 and can't wait to try it out.
